Data Sources


NaviWeather was created out of the need for accurate, reliable and easy-to-use weather forecast tool and GRIB files viewer. We thoroughly analyzed needs of mariners, boaters, sailors, kite and windsurfers and many other groups of people. We heard them out very carefully, add our judgment and experience to create a revolutionary tool for viewing and analyzing weather data.

Data Sources
Our worldwide forecast is derived from proven and widely-accepted sources, including, UK Meteorological Office, Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the US National Weather Service (NWS), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), the Marine Meteorology Division of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), he European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in addition to a wide range of other public and private weather authorities worldwide.

Data Processing
To ensure consistency weather data is processed, filtered and structured in our Data Processing Department (DPD). Then it is uploaded to Weather Data Servers (WDS) and made available for the End-users.
